Go for the adventure!

Stay for the hospitality!

A visit to the Maasai Mara is an adventure brimming with exotic wildlife roaming the sprawling savannah. The rolling hills, lush grasslands and small wooded areas a long dramatic rivers is the ancestral home of the Maasai People and a place of exquisite explorations.

WHAT AWAITS YOU

From the moment you arrive, experience exciting game drives through the Maasai Mara National Reserve and conservancies, warm and welcoming visits with the Maasai People in their authentic villages, and a myriad of stunning photographic opportunities. Stay in relaxing lush accommodations or more rustic bush camps, surrounded by beautiful foliage teeming with incredible wildlife. Drive, hike, boat, or get a bird’s eye view from a hot-air balloon safari. Participate in cultural activities and enjoy amazing food.

The Maasai Mara was named in honour of the Maasai people, many of whom still reside there. The word “Mara” in their Maasai (Maa) language means “spotted.” While flying overhead in a small plane as you arrive, or when gazing out across the spectacular landscape from on land, you can see how the abundant grassland is dotted with widely spaced thorn trees. These ‘desert date’ trees and baobab trees are food for the great herbivores at the reserve, and sought-after picnic places for safari adventurers.

Wildlife

The Maasai Mara is one of the best places on earth to see most of the ‘Big Five': lions, elephants, leopards, Cape buffalo, and more rarely rhinos. This area is also home to an amazing array of other animals and spectacular creatures you may never have heard of.

Birders Paradise

Plus, there are over 500 species of birds that live in the area from the world’s largest to those barely seen by the naked eye. Ranging from birds of prey and scavengers to river birds, and endemic and near-endemic bird species common in Kenya, you’ll find them across the terrain throughout the year.
